Most of Janet's standing sculptures are made from paper mache.  Some are painted and varnished.  Others are clothed with vintage or vintage-inspired cloth.  Some are clothed with clay, more paper mache, or burlap that has been treated with emulsified paper mache to make it stiff.  Some have fixed arms and others have arms that swing from visible wire to give them an old world feel.  All of their heads are hand-sculpted  and painted by Janet.  The clay heads and hands are always painted and protected with a matte varnish.
