About the Artist...
Janet Coshow is a fulltime artist who lives in Northern California.
Believing that each person is the hero in his/her odyssey, Janet strives to bring that person's true self to the surface in her sculptures. Janet is especially drawn to outsiders...those people who have defined themselves..rather than letting themselves be defined by society.
Janet was selected along with a handful of artists be part of the 2010 and 2011 Directory of Traditional American Crafts Holiday Directory. Her dolls have also been featured in Art Doll Quarterly Magazine and will be appearing in the next issue of Early American Life Magazine. Janet has participated in various art shows, including the Baltimore Arts and Crafts Show, and her art has appeared in galleries and boutiques, such as Art on Symmes in Ohio, St Dizier in Healdsburg, and Matilda Bos in California.
