Janet, a native Californian, lives in Northern California where she spends most of her days doing what she loves most...making sculptures.
Believing that each person is the hero in his/her odyssey, Janet strives to bring that person's true self to the surface in her sculptures. Janet is especially drawn to outsiders...those people that have defined themselves..rather than letting themselves be defined by society.
Janet was recently selected along with a handful of other artisans to be part of the 2010 Directory of Traditional American Crafts Holiday Directory. Her dolls have also been featured in Art Doll Quarterly Magazine. Janet has participated in various art shows, including the Baltimore Arts and Crafts Show, and her art has appeared in numerous galleries and boutiques.
