Here you will find some Halloween, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Characters. These are all one-of-a-kind pieces of art, sculpted entirely by Janet.   Early American Life Magazine has honored Janet by including her in their Traditional American Crafts Holiday 2010 Directory.  There will be Santa dolls soon,  The Santa dolls from last year have all been sold.

Here is the Bride of Frankenstein.  Her head, hair, and hands are clay.  Her body is stuffed cottom that has been painted and sanded to give it the feel of leather.  Her arms are attached with buttons and her knees bend due to bead joints at the knees.

25"  tall.    395

Here is a side picture of her standing in a doll stand.   This picture is to let you see her amazing white stripes in her hair but also to let you see how my dolls have their arms attached with buttons.

Here she sits with her black cat.  The cat is sold separately for 100.  It has a clay head with a cloth black ruffle around its neck and it all sfirmly on a painted wooden dowel.

What would Halloween be without a Primitive Pumpkin Head? Here is Sadie Star,

Approx.  25" tall  390

Sadie's best friend  is Pearl who is seen further down in this gallery.  The two pumpkin heads spend many hours debating whether they would rather be Jack-O-Lanterns or just plain Pumpkin Heads.

This little witch is approximately 26" tall.  Her nose does not betray her inner beauty. Goneril is currently thinking of the museum she wishes to begin in Salem that will commemorate all the women that died because people believed in rumors rather than the truth.

Here is Margaret, the sweetest angel that ever lived.  She has a clay face with a head scarf that is made of rough cloth that has been made stiff with emulsified paper mache..  Her wings are stuffed cotton that has been sewn and painted.  and attached with buttons in the back.   She is approximately 25"

390.

Here is Earmest the Scarecrow.  He spends his days studying the habits of crows since he doesn't have much luck scaring them away,.  He is approximately 26" tall.

390.

Pilgrim Polly is a sweet little girl but she does have a silly side.  She likes to play tricks on her sister, Pilgrim Penelope.  I guess that is why she is smiling and Penelope isn't.  Don't be fooled by her innocent expression.

390..

Here is Pilgrim Penelope.  She wishes Pilgrim Polly would stop playing tricks on her and then play innocent when the Pilgrim Parents come around.  Sometimes we don't get what we wish for though.

Approximately 25" tall.                                 390.

Here is Pearl, the Pumpking Head.  She argues that she would rather stay a Pumpkin Head  than become a Jack-o-Lantern, because the Name Jack doesn't fit her and Jill-o-Lantern just sounds silly  Besides she thinks that she and Sadie already shine from within.

Approximately 25"                                                                                   390

Here is Ernestine the Scarecrow.  She guards the South side of the field while Ernest guards the North.  Since neither of them are good are scaring away crows, Ernestine has taken to making mental sketches and paintings of crows.  She has decided that the addition of blue to the black of crow will be what makes her painting fabulous...if she ever gets some art supplies.

She is approximately 25 " tall when standing.       390

Here is Regan the witch.  She is joining with Goneri to l plan for a museum they want to one day bring to fruition.  Their goal is to shed  light on how harmful gossip and lies are by showcasing what happened in Salem when many "witches"  were killed.  Raising funds is coming along rather slowly, but with a little bit of magic, it just might happen.
